Chiropractic is a complete system of healthcare focused on the restoration and optimisation of health through natural hands-on care. Although focus is directed most commonly to individual segments of the spine, working on the entire nervous system (which is of fundamental importance to health and wellness) is the way to optimise the health of the entire human system and not just a means to relieve back pain.
At The White Room we offer a gentle form of chiropractic called Network Spinal care; an evidence-based approach to wellness and body awareness. Due to the gentle nature anyone can benefit from this work.
The spinal cord attaches to the skeletal system at the top (cervical) and the bottom (sacrum) of the spine. Various traumas, whether physical, mental, emotional or chemical build up within the nervous system over time and this develops as adverse mechanical cord tension (a term coined by Alf Breig). Postural changes, muscles imbalances and structural changes within the bones are an expression of this tension within the spinal cord. Neural integrity and flexibility is also lost, resulting most often as a change in mood, outlook and behaviour.
Through gentle precise network chiropractic spinal adjustments along the spine this ‘tension’ within the spinal cord ‘re-organises’, resulting in a change within all systems (neural, skeletal, muscular, digestive, etc.) which most often leads to decreased tension and therefore less pain and discomfort, increased flexibility, behavioural changes, improved outlook towards life, more ease and overall greater wellness.
For more information about the outcomes of Network Spinal care (formally known as Network Spinal Analysis or NSA) please look at the research link below. A study of over 2,800 people receiving Network Spinal care reported consistent positive changes throughout every area of their life. There is also more information about Re-organisational Healing, further studies related to Network and reading recommendations related to health, healing and well-being on the research link and in my blog pages.
